Riparian Buffer

In the early spring of 2014 we partnered with the Tennessee Department of Forestry to establish a riparian buffer zone along the stream that runs through our church property. With help from Boy Scouts, Vanderbilt students, and other community members we planted over 400 native Tennessee trees to improve water quality in the headwaters for Sorghum Branch, which is a tributary to Mill Creek. You can learn more about riparian buffers and the Hillcrest project by clinking the links below.
