Safe Haven

1234 3rd Avenue

Nashville, TN 37210

HUMC has been a long-time supporter of Safe Haven (formerly known as St. Patricks), a shelter for homeless families which provides housing, educational programs, counseling, spiritual guidance, and whatever else is necessary to help these families become self-sufficient and have stable homes, work, and school environments. It is the only 24-hour shelter for families in Nashville.

Once per month, groups from HUMC cook & serve dinner & provide overnight supervision & help. Dates are published in the newsletter. Dinner is served at 6pm: HUMC volunteers arrive by 5:30pm to assist in setting up to serve the 5 families (about 25 people).
