The Hospital Hospitality House houses non-local families in a secure environment while they have patients in Nashville area hospitals. They can house up to 18 people, providing meals, laundry facilities, sleeping quarters, and transportation to and from hospitals. People are referred by the hospitals’ social workers and are charged a fee based upon ability to pay. About 25% of the time, housing is provided free of charge due to the family’s financial circumstances. Even the full rate for a family of 3 is affordable at $31/night with meals included (although the full rate is rarely charged).
