The Staff Parish Relations Committee is pleased to announce that Rev. Paul Purdue will be returning to Hillcrest for another year as Senior Pastor.  We are so blessed to have Paul, Connie, Lewis and Caleb as members of our church family.  The SPRC is thankful for Paul’s ministry and is grateful that God has allowed Paul to share his ministry with us at Hillcrest!

Andrew Kjorlaug Begins A New Journey
It is with mixed emotions that the SPRC has accepted a resignation letter from Andrew Kjorlaug.  Andrew will be leaving in August to begin studies for a dual degree program involving a Masters of Divinity and a Masters of Sacred Music degree at Boston University.  The SPRC will host a celebration of his ministry on his last Sunday - August 16.  We wish Andrew and Priscilla many blessings as they embark on this new journey.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry has donated almost 70 hand-knit prayer shawls to people in need over the past two years.  We are always looking for knitters and crocheters to create these special pieces.  Our most immediate need right now is gift bags and tissue paper in either solid colors or appropriate designs.  For more information on how to get involved, see Charlene Eubank, Debbie Rhoads or Joyce Rizer.

Don’t forget, we are always trying to reach you better! If you would like to receive the newsletter or daily prayer concerns by e-mail, please submit your e-mail address to the church office.
